Whilst our Church, its services and events are open and inclusive to all, we are always thrilled to welcome new official members to our Church and/or the SNU (the Spiritualists' National Union), of which Stourbridge is an affiliated body.
On this page you will find details of how to become a Member of our Church, as well as a link to further information on becoming a member of the SNU itself.
SUPPORT OUR CHURCH
By becoming a member, you help to support our Church, and, as a Registered Charity, its mission to support and enrich the lives of others with the teachings of Spiritualism.
Members can attend our Annual General Meeting, participate in the democratic voting process of selecting our Committee, and even stand to be on the Committee itself!
We occasionally offer Membership benefits and opportunities, including discounts for some of our speakers and events, as well as invitations to Members-only social events.
Because we believe that appreciating, supporting and educating our Members is one of the most important things that we do here at Stourbridge Spiritualist Church, we have put into place a structured approach to the Membership process that we think allows every new member the opportunity to be acknowledged by and welcomed into our Church, religion and community.
1. BECOME AN ASSOCIATE MEMBER
Fill in and return our Membership Application Form. Once this has been received and approved by our Committee, you will be granted Associate Membership.
2. INTRODUCTION TO SPIRITUALISM
Associate Members are then given a 'Introduction to Spiritualism' meeting, which provides new members with information about the Church and the teachings of Spiritualism.
3. NEW MEMBERS' SERVICE
Finally, you will be invited to attend a special New Members Service to welcome you to the Church. Here you will be able to sign our roll book to become a Full Member.
